The school has a flourishing Parent Teacher and Friends Association and the committee meets regularly to organise various fund-raising activities. These include shopping trips to Bath, Frost Fayre, Summer Fete, etc. The money raised is given back into the school. All parents are welcome to join this group. Elections to the committee take place annually. The support that we receive from this group is immense and we are very grateful for all their efforts. Recently the PTFA has provided funds for the school to purchase new televisions and video equipment, paid towards leasing of office equipment and contributed significantly to new I.T equipment.

What is Adopt a School?
In April 2012, the PTFA launched the ‘Adopt a School’ initiative to help raise funds and equipment for St. Mary’s RC Primary School. We will be asking local and national businesses to ‘Adopt a School’ by donating or purchasing items and then working with the PTFA to help deliver projects and resources into our school.
The school have created a ‘Wish List’, which includes new sport and wet play equipment, library furniture, musical instruments, cooking equipment and many more exciting items. We have already been sponsored by national and local businesses who have enabled the PTFA to purchase new sport kits, gardening equipment and bicycles.
