In Year Three we have been studying ‘Doctor Doctor’ as our theme. We really enjoyed using our research skills using the internet and books to find out about the human body. We wrote brochures on the human organs and some people even included a fact file in their work. We developed our maths skills by setting up fruit shops where we bought and sold items of fruit with coins. We were busy in our theme lessons making split pin skeletons for display and Picasso style portraits. As a year group we’ve investigated our heights and foot size, measuring carefully in cm. Many of us enjoyed participating in gymnastics lessons and other sporting activities. We have studied the story of ‘Flat Stanley’ and tried our best to learn the story off by heart with story actions inspired by Pie Corbett. What a busy half term we’ve had. We’re looking forward to finding out more about the human body after half term and exploring the senses.
